The Woodland Park Church of Christ is a body of Christians seeking to restore first century Christianity in the twenty-first century.
In the first century, the followers of Christ were all members of one church (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:47; Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 4:4-5). They were united in purpose and plan because they all accepted Christ and His authority. Is it reasonable to believe that Christ’s followers can once again be united in His one church? Absolutely!
The Churches of Christ are dedicated to the restoration of this unity, which existed in the Lord’s church at its inception (Acts 2:47). We wear no human names (Romans 16:16), nor uphold any creed apart from the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17). On the first day of the week, churches of Christ throughout the world take the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7), pray (Acts 2:42), sing hymns (Colossians 3:16), study the Bible (Acts 20:7) and contribute financially (1 Corinthians 16:1-2) as did the first century church.
If you are interested in being simply a Christian--- a member of the church that Christ established almost two thousand years ago---you are urged to examine the church of Christ by studying your Bible. The ministers, elders, deacons and/or members of the Woodland Park congregation would be delighted to arrange a Bible study session to further discuss the church of Christ with you.
